This is my expectation when I ask my 11 and 8-year-old daughters to wash the dishes and clean off the counter:
My daughters started working right away. When I left them, my 8-year-old was washing dishes and my 11-year-old was wiping the counter. I thought this was a pretty simple and quick task. It is a small and crowded kitchen, so I wasnât expecting perfection.
An hour laterâŚ
My daughters have gone to bed after âfinishingâ their chores. This is their version of a âcleanâ kitchen:
After crying for 15 minutes đ˘, I looked up their eye doctor and scheduled an eye exam for them next week.  đ¤Ł
